These “taxidermy” passenger pigeons are part of my Bye Bye Birdies project as an homage. They were once the most abundant bird in the Americas, but became extinct due to human disruption. In my installation, they foreshadow how our favorite birds today might only live in taxidermy form tomorrow if action is not swiftly taken.
