Less Flying, More Dying

This 13 page booklet is a collection summary of most of the data I referenced for my Bye Bye Birdies project. The prompt of this project was to only use typefaces as design for a booklet as well as mobile web version.

The data I collected refer to the decline of bird populations over the last three decades, as well as species most affected by climate change, and what actions can be done to help save them.

To reflect this decline, I designed the background of every spread to feature scientific names of over a hundred bird species. As one flips through the pages, more and more bird names are removed. It is a subtle action at first, but by the time the reader notices birds have been disappearing, it may be too late to bring them back.
