Branding project with the prompt to design and conceptualize an organic vegetable company. Drawn from Earth is a (fictional) nationwide vegetable company that sells at local markets and stores, dedicated to serving fresh, organic veggies while being mindful of the planet and minimizing food waste.

Process & Ideation

Doing research on organic vegetable brands, I noticed a common theme in simplicity, hand-touched elements, and neutral tones. I wanted to include these themes since it would make my brand recognizable as organic, natural, and sustainable.

My hand-drawn illustrations of vegetables would go on each packaging. Deciding to keep the sketches “loose” made the brand feel less or anti-corporate while complimenting the sleekness in the word mark logo.

To create the least waste and environmental effects possible, I decided to make the packaging out of cardboard instead of plastic. Laser engraving removes the need for printing with ink. Laser cutting slits through the box allows shoppers to still observe their veggies before purchase. These physical choices also further embodied the themes of “organic”.
